introducing my 12a Rx7 Project..

Introduce my 12A RX-7, as a rare vintage 1983 manufactured, its really hard to find these piece in Brunei, as i was lucky to own these car when one day i saw it was parked at one of my friends workshop (Mr Ah Boon), which only wait to be sell and swap.... So for me, i don't want to miss the golden opportunity and swap it with my Mitsubishi GTO.

Wanna know when i started to fall in love with these car?...
well... these is how the story goes.....

(AS COPIED FROM THE NET)

Once a upon a time, i was watching these speed master japan movie, in my teenage age, when i saw how the engine functioning, it just amaze and amuse me how the heck these rotary engine can be so powerful, and since then i was so obsessed and been dreaming to get my hand on one of these car, and its like a dream come true which finally i owned it.

after goin through many survey in the net, this one I believe to be the series 2 of the 12a maiden.

(INFO COPIED FROM WIKIPEDIA)
Production estimates in parenthesis are widely accepted estimations per color, though no official production records are known to exist or to have been released, aside from the total combined production figure of 2500 units.

The Series 2 (1981–1983) had integrated plastic-covered bumpers, wide black rubber body side moldings, wraparound taillights and updated engine control components. The GSL package provided optional 4-wheel disc brakes, front ventilated (Australian model) and clutch-type rear limited slip differential (LSD). Known as the "FB" in North America after the US Department of Transportation mandated 17 digit Vehicle Identification Number changeover. For various other markets worldwide, the 1981–1985 RX-7 retained the 'SA22C' VIN prefix. In the UK, the 1978–1980 series 1 cars carried the SA code on the vehicle VIN but all later cars (1981–1983 series 3 & 1984–1985 series 3) carried the FB code and these 1st generation RX7's are known as the "FB". The license-plate surround looks much like Buhrer's "Styling

    Rims:-

erm... i know... u've been wondering why honda rims? well.. its a pick and mix car so, don't care    much, as long as these baby could rollin hot on the road.. and as long as the 17inch rims does goes well for the car, it should be ok :p

Exhaust:-

This exhauset was quite big for these car which i believe it was about 4 inch wide piping, you don't even have any idea these exhaust could barbecue chicken wings.. hahaha ~~~ Spit fire... TRUE... The Fire is blazing BIG...

Spoiler:-

keep the original look, that what they say, so.. i keep the original spoiler so the RX 7 uniqueness suits that way.

Tail Light:

Have no idea what these genius Mr Ah Boon thinks when putting these tail light on, if people who don't have any knowledge bout car at all, they might think and say "Look, Lamborghini is ahead us" hahaha...

Interior:-

as the car look heavy metal but not the interior, lots of PIMP MY RIDE job to be done here, :)

Audio Compartment:-

Left questioned mark? i know... where is the audio system before it was an audio compartment, to be told that these is going to be a racing project car, who needs audio? the engine sound is the most beautiful music of all, the compartment already has been modified for switch, soon when the time permits, all these going to transform to be a smart look compartment, will add up another more meter and it will be located above the dash board for easy monitoring. but still audio will be add up also for me to go with the road flow... hehehe

Dashboard :-

I just keep it these way, won't take the original parts away, beside it's still functioning well, need to be polish a bit, coz it already look foggy,  all the idle meters works perfectly with the engine and never fails to make me smile...

Transformer? :-

as requested from my daughters, Transformer sticker was stick, since  bumble BEE is yellow and its one of my favorite color, will let the color stick that way, the car for sure will transform beyond your imagination.
